Overview
Work with our new Ranger Ric with keeping the viaduct safe and tidy for the public. Enjoy the fresh air and work with a close-knit team. Learn wildlife and heritage site management skills, and support the charity in caring for the visitors and the World Monument Fund Watchlist site, Bennerley Viaduct.
The viaduct is a disused heritage railway bridge that has been reopened for walking and cycling. Based on the Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire border between Ilkeston and Awsworth. It also has natural habitats underneath, being expanded to promote the growth of its rare wildlife, plants, and insects. We also run outreach and education sessions in the local area. No experience is required, training will be provided, and we are flexible on time commitments. We are a small team and may have limited places available.
