Overview

Guide Dogs rely on Collection Box Coordinators to place our iconic boxes locally and then empty them every few months, count the collection and bank the funds.

Collection Box Coordinators need to have good communication skills to be able to talk to people about how our collection boxes support Guide Dogs, as well as having organisational skills be able to identify and place collection boxes in suitable locations. Moving them when needed and keeping track of where the boxes are located, emptying them every 3 to 6 months, bank the income and thank the venues for agreeing to have boxes placed and for the donations received as a result.

This is a flexible role that is manageable around your own time commitments and will give you the opportunity to interact with others, including people in Guide Dogs and the general public, as well as having the satisfaction knowing you are supporting people with sight loss to live actively, independently, and well.

We ask that volunteers for this role are aged 18 or over.
