Overview

The Complementary Therapy department forms part of Therapeutic Services, here at Treetops Hospice. The service has seen significant development, and we are now looking for some dedicated volunteers to help us deliver our session so that more people can experience the benefit that Complementary Therapy can bring.

Are you a qualified Complementary Therapist with recognised qualifications, who would like to offer your professional skills to support our clients who are bereaved or who have been diagnosed with a life limiting condition.

Treetops Hospice are based in Risley, we offer onsite Complementary Therapy to Adults, Children and Young People who have a connection to Treetops through another service they access here at Treetops e.g. Counselling, Spring Program, Wellbeing.  Based on site at Risley we have two buildings, the Cheetham centre for our adult clients and The Saplings for our Children and young people each respectively have dedicated well equipped bespoke complementary therapy rooms.

Our organisation has the reputation of supporting a large body of volunteers and is backed up by an efficient administration team. We have an excellent standing for providing a high-quality professional service and have good relationships with GP’s, other health service professionals, Social Care, and schools. You would be joining a rich therapeutic community, and as a volunteer you would receive the opportunity to attend monthly reflection and support sessions, as well as the opportunity to attend CPD workshops which run monthly throughout the year.

Recruitment would be an informal interview, to ensure both parties feel volunteering with our service would be a good fit. Then a 2-day induction in September, which will provide you with all the relevant information required so you are ready to start working with our clients.
