About Literacy Volunteers

Literacy Volunteers change children’s lives by helping them with their literacy and communication skills. They visit schools and help the same selected children on a one-to-one basis outside the classroom on the same half day each week. Volunteers build a relationship with the children and share their love of reading with them, having fun together with a variety of resources. They read, play word games, do puzzles, chat and have fun with children who need their help!
