Overview

An enthusiastic organiser with administrative skills is needed to help the Derby branch of the Cruse Bereavement Care Charity.
We have 50 professionally trained volunteers, who give their time free, to support bereaved people from 5 years upwards who are struggling with their loved ones death. If Cruse did not fulfil this role there is little help out there and many of our clients are desperate for support. “Somewhere to turn when someone dies”. You would be an important cog in enabling us to fulfil this role.
Examples of tasks that help is needed with:
– organising annual training of approx.15 new volunteers, advertising the course, coordinating interviews, follow up information etc.
-applying for funding and putting in bid applications
-attending local and area service meetings which meet about 6 times a year
-it would be a bonus if you have IT skills and financial know how

A good standard of written english is required.

cruse would pay all expenses incurred eg. travelling expenses, telephone calls, postage

DBS Check is required.
