The Talking Newspaper are looking to recruit a volunteer Technician, who will join their team of technicians to operate their fast-copying equipment, and to help with the general administration, once every 6 weeks on a Thursday morning at their Sawley base.

The Long Eaton & District Talking Newspaper for the Blind & Partially Sighted was founded in 1978 and is a registered not for profit charity with 35 volunteers.

Each of their 140 listeners receives a memory stick, containing 72 hours of listening pleasure every three weeks.

The memory stick contains 70 recordings of news, comment and stories plus stories thirteen magazine programmes such as Peoples' Friend, Women's Weekly, Derbyshire Life and Countryside and many others.

All listeners receive a Memory Stick player FREE of CHARGE.
